Infinix Hot 8 is one of their few additions to this category in 2019. It is a follow up to the Infinix Hot 7. The highlights of this new smartphone include a massive 5000mAh battery, Android v9.0 Pie OS and a large 6.52 inch HD display.
Infinix Hot 8 Design and Display
The Hot 8 has a lot in common, in terms of design, with other budget devices launched by Infinix in 2019. It is relatively slim, has rounded edges and a generally sleek look. Like many phones we have seen this year, this phone has gradient color at the back, something that really helps to enhance its appearance. There are 4 color options – Cosmic Purple, Quetzal Cyan, Midnight Black and Shark Grey. Despite having a large display, this device is not heavy and it easy to hold in one hand. The power button and the volume rocker are on the right side and its pretty easy to reach them while operating the phone in in one hand. The SIM card tray and the microSD slot are found on the left side of the smartphone.

Hardware and performance
At the heart of this phone is MediaTek Helio P22 chipset. This processor has 8 cores and is clocked at 2.0GHz. The processor is paired with either 2GB of RAM. The 2GB RAM variant has 32GB onboard storage space.
Running the usual day to day apps will not be a problem. You will be able to make calls, browse and use messaging apps like WhatsApp and Facebook without any issues.
This phone comes with some pre-installed apps. The good news is that you can uninstall most of the preinstalled apps. It runs on Android 9 Pie out of the package.
The Hot 8 comes with the face unlock feature and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Both allow you to unlock your smartphone very fast. It also has an Intelligent voice broadcast, a feature that you can use to make the phone read out things for you. You can turn this feature on and off any time you like.
Infinix Hot 8 has a triple-lens camera setup at the back. The triple-lens system consists of a 13MP main camera with wide f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor, and a QVGA low light sensor. The camera has phase detection and autofocus. Many camera modes are available including panorama, beauty, bokeh, etc. The rear shooter takes quality shots in places with adequate light. It captures decent quality pictures in places with low light as well thanks to the rear quad-LED flash.
The selfie camera is 8MP. This camera takes good quality shots in places with good light.
One of the key selling points of this smartphone is its battery life. Under moderate to heavy use, you can comfortably use the Infinix Hot 8 for more than one day in a single charge. If you are more a demanding user, you can use it for up to two days.
