Design
Apple claims that the new frosted glass rear on the iPhone 11 Pro, created out of a single piece of glass, is the most robust glass ever used in a smartphone. The phone has an IP68 rating for water resistance, which allows it to last up to 30 minutes at a 4 m depth. The matte coating of the iPhone 11 Pro is a significant improvement over the glossy, fingerprint-attracting finish of earlier iPhones. In addition to the standard Space Grey, Silver, and Rose Gold selections, the new color, Midnight Green, is an excellent addition.
Display
The iPhone 11 Pro’s OLED display, which is brighter and more energy-efficient than the iPhone XS’s display, is one of the device’s leading “Pro” enhancements. In practice, you won’t be able to tell the difference between Apple’s boasts that the display can reach 1,200 nits when viewing HDR material and 800 nits when viewing standard content.
Camera
A wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, and telephoto lens are all part of the triple camera system in the iPhone 11 Pro. The telephoto camera separates the Pro from the non-Pro variant, even though both have the same comprehensive and ultra-wide cameras.
The addition of the ultra-wide lens is a welcome one for landscape photographers. You may now use portrait mode with the regular wide-angle lens, which was impossible with the iPhone X or XS. Compared to the iPhone XS, the upgraded sensors and A13 Bionic CPU produce images with far higher resolution, dynamic range, and color representation.
The iPhone 11 Pro now has a night mode, a previously exclusive feature for Android phones. It produces brighter and more colorful photographs without having the colors look artificial, which is as striking as you might expect. You can record videos with an expanded dynamic range, image stabilization at 60 frames per second, and a resolution of up to 4K.
performance
The A13 Bionic CPU in the iPhone 11 Pro is another of Apple’s superior A-series processors. With new machine learning accelerators in the CPU that perform matrix multiplication operations six times quicker, the CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine are all 20% faster than before.
Besides being significantly more energy-efficient, the A13 Bionic processor uses 15% less power for the Neural engine and 30% less for the large CPU cores.
iOS 13, which powers the iPhone 11 Pro, introduces new features and enhancements, such as Dark Mode, enhanced privacy settings, and a redesigned Pictures app. The phone also has Face ID, which functions more efficiently and quickly.
Battery Life
Apple claims that the iPhone 11 Pro’s battery life is the best of all iPhones and can last up to four hours longer than the iPhone XS. The phone readily survived a full day of intensive use during our tests, with some battery remaining at the end of the day. The phone also supports wireless charging, which is helpful if you have a wireless charging pad, and rapid charging, which can recharge the battery up to 50% in just 30 minutes.
Is It Worth It, in Conclusion?
With its robust and fashionable design, stunning OLED display, potent triple-camera system, fantastic performance, and excellent battery life, the iPhone 11 Pro is undoubtedly the best iPhone yet. Although expensive, some consumers might need help finding the upgrades over the iPhone XS sufficient to warrant the price.
The iPhone 11 Pro is unquestionably worthwhile if you’re someone who regularly takes images and movies, values superb performance and battery life, and is okay with spending more money on the most recent and greatest technology. But if you’re happy with your iPhone XS or don’t require the most current and fantastic model, you should wait until the next iPhone release or look into more affordable alternatives.
