Samsung Galaxy S10e Video Reviews
The Samsung Galaxy S10e is one of Samsung’s flagship phones in 2019. The word e stands for essential meaning that the S10e is packed with almost everything that the Galaxy S10 and the S10 Plus have. According to Samsung, the S10e is a high-end budget phone. It has many features that S10 and S10 plus including reliable battery life, the two rear cameras, and a huge 5.8 screen. The only things that you will miss out at the curved display edges, the third lens, and the in-screen fingerprint sensor. However, many pundits say that this phone was launched to counter the iPhone XR.
Samsung Galaxy S10e Design and display
The S10e features a 5.8-inch AMOLED display. This is slightly smaller than those of S10 and S10 plus. However, this is not much of a problem. More and more people seem to prefer smaller phones. That is the reason why the iPhone SE was very popular. The S10e has 2280 by 1080 resolution and 438 PPI.
The S10e follows almost the same design of its bigger sibling with a glass back and aluminum metal frame. However, instead of using the gorilla glass 6 and 5 configurations for the front and backside, it uses Gorilla Glass 5 sheets on both sides. However, water and dustproof features are still intact. The S10e is the first Samsung phone to have a flat front panel. The power button and the volume rocker sit on the left while the Bixby button sits just below the volume rocker. The USB C, speaker grille and the 3.5mm headphone jack sit on the bottom edge.
Software, hardware, and performance
The S10e is powered by the one UI, which is based on the latest Android OS, the Android 9 pie. The new One OS has tons of new customized features. Like the S10 and the S10 Plus, the S10e is powered by the most powerful processor ever used in Android phones, the Exynos 9820 chipset. This chipset is based on the 8nm and accommodates an octa-core CPU that features two custom mongoose cores clocked at 2.7GHz, two cortex A75 clocked at 2.4GHz, and four efficient cortex A55 clocked at 1.9. This phone also features the Mali-G76 MP12 GPU. The processor is paired by either 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage or 6GB RAM/128 GD internal storage which can be expanded through the microSD. The performance of S10e is the same as that of S10 and S10 plus.
The S10e back camera features two sensor-the 12MP primary sensors with dual aperture (f/1.5 and f/2.4) with OIS for correcting still shaky images and the 16MPf/2.2 ultra-wide shooter. The phone lacks the telephoto lens, but that is not a big deal. After all the galaxy S9 has a single, dual aperture shooter. The quality of the picture taken by the rear camera is superb. In fact, pundits say that S10e takes better images then Huawei Mate 20 and iPhone XS. The S10e has one 16MP front-facing camera that takes fantastic pictures, especially under right lighting conditions.
Battery and charging
The S10e is powered with a 3100 mAh non-removable battery. The battery can last for up to 8 hours when doing light tasks such as listening to music, browsing and watching videos. The 15W fast charger ensures that the battery is charged to capacity with 1 hour 30 minutes. This phone can also charge other wireless devices.
Samsung S10e Pros
- Amazing compact design
- Decent battery
- Impeccable AMOLED display
- Excellent build quality with premium-grade features
- Decent cameras
If you wish to own a flagship phone but you cannot afford to buy the S10 and the S10 Plus, then Samsung Galaxy S10e is a good option for you. Although this phone is a cheaper flagship phone, it has most features found in S10 and S10 Plus.
