Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro: What to Expect from the Eighth Generation of Google’s Flagship Series

The Federal Communications Commission database recently revealed a new Pixel, and rumors about the eighth generation of Google’s flagship series have started swirling on the web. The code names of the upcoming smartphones are Shiba for Pixel 8 and Husky for Pixel 8 Pro. Here’s what we know so far about these much-awaited devices.

Design and Build

The design of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro is expected to be a departure from previous Pixel devices. Rumors suggest that both phones could sport a ceramic dress. The Pixel 8 is rumored to have a slightly reduced form factor compared to the Pixel 7, while the Pixel 8 Pro may retain its 6.7-inch size. The fingerprint sensor is also expected to evolve with an ultrasonic variant.

Screen and Audio

The screen resolution of the Pixel 8 is expected to be 1080 x 2268, while that of the Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to be 1344 x 2822. Both phones may feature a 120Hz refresh rate, making for smoother scrolling and better gameplay. As for the audio, rumors suggest that the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro could come with dual stereo speakers, offering better sound quality than their predecessors.

Specs and Performance
